AWARDS
With the aim of stimulating the quality and scientific advancement of the community, the XX SBSR will award works in the following categories:
- Best Scientific Initiation papers;
- Best papers presented in the Poster Session; and
- Best papers presented in the Oral Technical Sessions.
The awarding of the best Scientific Initiation papers will be held on the “Opening Session of the XX SBSR”, on April 2, 2023 (Sunday), at 7:30 pm.
The awards for the best presentations in the Poster Session and the best papers in the Oral Technical Session will be held on the “Closing Session of the Symposium”, on April 5, 2023 (Wednesday), at 7:00 pm.
All award-winning papers must have the author or co-author present at the ceremony to receive the awards. In the absence of the representative, the article will be disqualified.
CRITERIA FOR AWARD CATEGORY PAPERS OF SCIENTIFIC INITIATION
The two (2) best articles in the Scientific Initiation category will be chosen by members of the Technical-Scientific Committee responsible for the evaluation and approval of all works submitted to the SBSR.
The evaluation committee will consider the relevance of the work to the area of knowledge, the scientific quality of the research carried out, clarity and the quality of the presented text.
The awards will be held on the “Opening Session of the XX SBSR”, on April 2, 2023 (Sunday), at 7:30 pm. The award will be given to the author or a co-author of the awarded paper.
All award-winning works must have the author or co-author present at the ceremony to receive the awards. In the absence of the representative, the work will be disqualified.
CRITERIA FOR AWARDING POSTERS IN THE VISUAL COMMUNICATION CATEGORY
The poster for the presentation of the work may be approximately 0.90 m wide and 1.20 m high.
Three Awards Committees will be set up, each of which will choose the two-best posters on each day. At the end of the event six (06) Posters will be awarded.
The award will be held on the Closing Session of the XX SBSR, in the Auditorium, on April 5, 2023, Wednesday, at 7:00 pm. The award will be given to the presenter of the poster.
In the absence of the presenter, the award may be received by one of the co-authors present at the Closing Session. If no author or co-author is present, the poster will be disqualified.
To choose the six (06) best posters, in the Visual Communication category, the following criteria will be considered:
- Identification of the poster – the name of the work, its authors and contact email must be visible;
- Clarity of the poster – the objectives, methodology and results obtained in the research must be clear on the poster;
- Visual quality of the poster – creativity and harmony in the assembly of the poster, and the ease of apprehending the content will be considered;
- Presence of the presenter – author or co-author from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm; and
- Presenter posture – fluency of knowledge and exposure of the work.
All award-winning works must have the author or co-author present at the ceremony to receive the awards. In the absence of the representative, the work will be disqualified.
CRITERIA FOR AWARD CATEGORY PAPERS OF ORAL SESSIONS
The three (3) best papers in Oral Presentation will be chosen by members of the Technical-Scientific Committee of the XX SBSR.
The following criteria will be considered:
- the importance and originality of the subject;
- scientific rigor and data quality;
- the relevance of the work to the area of knowledge; and
- the clarity and quality of the text presented.
The awards will be held on the “Closing Session of the Symposium”, on April 5, 2023 (Wednesday), at 7:00 pm. The award will be given to the first author or a co-author of the article.
All award-winning works must have the author or co-author present at the ceremony to receive the awards. In the absence of the representative, the work will be disqualified.
